DevelopmentArc specializes in Web Application development and we apply our experience not only to help our clients but to provide tools and applications for the community at large. As we develop solutions we plan to share them with our clients and the community. Over time we plan to create not only developer solutions but products that can be used by anyone to meet their specific needs.

DevelopmentArc Core
DevelopmentArc Core is a free MIT licensed open source library for Adobe® Flash® (ActionScript® 3.0), Adobe® Flex® and Adobe® AIR™ applications. DevelopmentArc Core is intended to provide Flash Platform developers with a set of services, utilities and solutions to common tasks and challenges faced when building simple to complex web applications. As DevelopmentArc Core is developed we focus on making as many of the features 100% ActionScript® 3.0 (player version 9) supported to provide the most flexibility and re-usability for the library. Some features are (or will) be Adobe® Flex® or AIR™ specific and we clearly state this in the documentation and the comments when this is the case.
DevelopmentArc Core is not only for our community developers. DevelopmentArc uses DevelopmentArc Core within all our client applications because it provides us and them with a strong foundation to build upon. This is an important distinction because as we solve customer's technical needs we have the ability to update and add to the Core feature set. This not only benefits our current and future clients but also helps the community at large.
DevelopmentArc Core is fully unit tested (200+ tests and counting), ASDoc commented and wiki documented to help our community learn and use all the functionality available in Core. By providing as much detailed information as possible about DevelopmentArc Core, we enable our clients to have the ability to learn DevelopmentArc Core for themselves and continue to leveraging the functionality as their projects continue with or without our assistance. DevelopmentArc chose the MIT license to enable the most flexibility for everyone. MIT does not require users to declare that DevelopmentArc Core was used or submit changes back to us, but we are always looking for feedback and ideas. By using MIT, no one is limited by the license so that they can use this in private, public, freeware and for profit applications without fear of having to open source their custom code.
